Adelaide Rolling Out AI S.M.A.R.T. Management Systems, Privacy, 5G, Health Impacts Not Solving Deep Societal Problems

For myself, I do not feel cameras are solving problems, as a woman I see them as invading our privacy with the ability to tap into iPhones, lighting, CCTV where you feel watched all the time. For me it is like being stalked and tracked given the profit motivation of ‘data as the new gold’ and this endless focus on data sharing (sales) where consumer profiling maximises profits. I do not believe it is about safety.

I notice cameras change my behaviour as I avoid LED Lights to maintain my privacy. I try not to look at cameras (facial recognition) whilst shopping and do not appreciate being watched. I do not regard this as about theft, but more watching the public. I angle myself away from lighting in toilets as they too are cameras and for me it is like a group of men watching me on the toilet, I absolutely feel this is outrageous. I feel my privacy completely invaded by those who have commoditised our society as ‘consumers’ and dismissed our humanity and democracy as a shared community. I did not vote for this, I do not feel safer. I believe jobs will go as AI replaces all activity. They will bring in a Universal Basic Income and promote leisure but the reality is depopulation ideologies are implemented as Bill Gates stated in his famous TED talk. He sought to reduce population by 15% using vaccines. In reality this is not for safety of the community it is a form of totalitarianism pushed by foreign actors. AI replaces police, replaces workers as it is free labour and is believed to be superior to humans and without all the emotional issues that those in leadership do not know how to deal with. As life is about control not sharing, caring, healing and revealing. To force anything on anyone is not respect but a violation, especially when the human becomes dehumanised via data.

AI makes human beings redundant by those who see humans as labour not a community to serve. Economics was designed to serve the needs and wants of a society, it was not about the society serving the needs and wants of industry. The privatisation of our government and services means that profit motives displaced a public service. This is the reality beneath all the so-called benefits and colourful ‘happy’ advertising. It is a control grid, it triangulates vehicles, it tracks, it listens in, gains data in real time and it uses facial recognition to identify people engaged in their normal lives without consent or valid legal reason.

I do not consent to Smart Cities as part of Infrastructure and the fact it has been brought in without referendum with compliant regulators who do not enforce privacy and deny access if a complainant is deemed non-compliant (discretionary decisions). Privacy is wellbeing coupled with the right to not be known, to have our personal data disidentified, to speak our political opinions without profiling or surveillance by faceless actors looking for disinformation not freedom of speech of which they enjoy. To be free to be ‘who we are’ without control exercised by those who profit from this creating a quality of life akin to a surveillance police state. I don’t vote for this as it is driven by profit not public safety or efficiency. I vote for privacy and basic respect.

If you want to ease congestion create flexi-time where you log in when you get to work, work 8 hours and then log out. This was used years ago in the public service. What this means is people do their hours when convenient. Others will work from home. This changes traffic conditions and congestion as everyone is different and prefers different hours. It is about working together not forcing the public into a compliance model.

As for drunk drivers or those affected by drugs, solve the social problems that causes excessive drinking or drug taking. Look at family break up, cost of living pressures, stress, powerlessness, overworking, unhappiness and so on. This is the pink elephant no AI camera will detect. If you want to stop theft then create an egalitarian society where all benefit equally, ensure real wealth is distributed fairly without exploitation and do not allow the concentration of wealth using IT fishnets that profit not because the product is demanded but more access to audiences and cheaper due to cheap labour in poorer countries. This impacts local business and collapses it, weakening the nation. How are IT billionnaires justified in comparison to plumbers or tradies, how do you value worth of the people based on status? One has access to a large market by investing in IT platforms (data capture), the other unblocks physical pipes, replaces washes, ensure the practical function of necessary services. One works harder than the other who pays for what he or she wants. Many profit these days by buying up successful products and services (mergers & takeovers), rather than inventing them to serve a public need. Superannuation created access to global funds rather than creating retirement income for the elderly. It was directed to raise finance to invest in areas private sector actors chose not the public. They did not earn the money but managed it, this gave them power to shape change our society and world. They had influence over politicians as they coordinated their own global strategies to maximise profits and control. The monies were not invested back into the national economy but rather used to build infrastructure owned by private corporations not the public. This money was the forfeited wage increases by those who need the money to those who have plenty of money. It was enriching the global financiers at the expense of ordinary people underpaid and overworked. So we observe ‘self interest’ being the driver rather than ‘best interest’. This boils down to those who do not know how to serve others but only know being served. They do not have the experience of working with others as equals but rather managing money not relationships. This is why we are experiencing inequality, poverty, ecological imbalance, class systems and homelessness particularly notable in rich countries like Australia (second richest in the world). It becomes inequality not victim blaming (didn’t work hard enough) when wages are held down, some to 1980 rates of pay. The worker has no real advocacy as unions become controlled. The list goes on.

Is it SMART cities or intelligent?

Lastly, it is important to know that SMART means Secret Militarised Armaments in Residential Areas and 5G is weaponised. That should be of concern. A video about this is below this article. The commentator is Mark Steele who is an ex military weapons expert.

This subject is most definitely in the public interest.

AI-driven ‘smart management’ cameras coming to SA roads

AI cameras are being rolled out on some of Adelaide’s busiest roads as a means to reportedly ‘improve traffic management’ and ‘ease congestion’.

The surveillance grid expands.

More ‘smart initiatives’ rolled out.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

Major Adelaide roads will get artificial intelligence cameras aimed at ‘cutting traffic’ and ‘boosting economic activity’, at a cost of $350,000 to taxpayers.

South Australian Transport Minister Tom Koutsantonis said the new trial would involve the cameras analysing congestion and tweaking traffic light cycles.

“They’ll save of course time and money in terms of infrastructure, time and money in terms of being stuck in traffic, freight getting to where it’s needed to go faster and more efficiently, public transport moving more quickly,” Koutsantonis said.

Koutsantonis described the technology as a “powerful piece of equipment to improve our traffic network” when announcing the new trial.

One camera will go on the highway at the northern suburb of Penfield, and another will be placed at the major bus station, Paradise Interchange, in the northeast suburbs. Another two will go on the highway at the far-southern suburb of Old Noarlunga.

The government says traffic congestion costs the economy $33,000 for every 5000 motorists forced to wait in 20 minutes of traffic. That’s a very precise (and symbolic) number.

“The traffic management system using artificial intelligence can cost as little as $8000 at an intersection if the infrastructure is already in place without having to put in new infrastructure,” Koutsantonis continued.

The government will look to add more cameras if the trial is successful.

Adelaide, which already has smart infrastructure installed (like all major cities in Australia), is looking to upgrade the network with an AI supercharge overlay. Entire networks run by sophisticated algorithms.Advertisements

‘SMART TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT’

Although a seemingly innocent initiative, smart cameras are part of a larger agenda, one that helps fulfil the vision set out for this country and our infrastructure in the cities and regions.

Last year, the South Australian government decided to follow in the footsteps of various other states and permanently install mobile phone detection cameras (MPDC).

As part of a $15.9 million program, if you are caught by a mobile phone detection camera while driving, you will be fined $650 and lose three demerit points.

Governments and councils around the country are using AI cameras in various ways.

NSW councils use the feed from dashcams to identify road defects, and the NSW state government uses AI in Sydney’s southwest to identify koalas and alert drivers.

In Melbourne in 2022, an AI-powered traffic-management system known as the “Intelligent Corridor” was launched to cover a 2.5km stretch between Alexandra and Victoria Parades.

The ‘Intelligent Corridor’ uses sensors, cloud-based AI, machine-learning algorithms, predictive models, and real-time data capture with the goal of ‘easing congestion’, ‘improving road safety for cars and pedestrians’, and ‘reducing emissions’.

“From connected vehicles to autonomous driving to integrated mobility management, this technology is laying the groundwork for a sustainable and congestion-free future, using the very best in multi-modal demand management technologies,” said Matthew McLeish, TrafficCom Executive Vice-President.

The key word there: Integrated.

Melbourne has also rolled out AI cameras in a number of areas to ‘clamp down on drunk and drug-affected motorists’, in a move that has drawn similar criticisms.

By implementing smart city technology and successfully leveraging the vast amounts of data delivered via a myriad of sensors, a new age will begin for local authorities.

Adelaide is already a smart city, rolling out infrastructure prior to the ‘pandemic’, as we reported.

The driverless/electric vehicle push is directly linked to smart initiatives. Australia’s move towards a biometric dystopia is expanding without consultation with the public.

Big Brother is Watching, South Australia.

The video below was not easy to find as it has been deprioritised. This is why online media and platforms are losing trust from the public. They appear to be making it harder to find information in the public interest.

Mark Steel expert opinion on SMART and 5G. It is interesting to note that trees are cut down, this is because the signal can’t move through trees. Microwaves are detrimental to health. Children are at the highest risk due to body density. Radiation causes cancer. Children are on their phones and they are becoming addicted to the technology. This has massive health effects. Has the South Australian Government (and others) considered the health and safety of this technology inclusive of mental health.
