Nature, Nurture or Programming

I am contemplating this morning the development of children in Melbourne under restrictions, 1 hour of sunlight, stressed parents (or single parents), sadness, no freedom and no visiting other children.  The issues of social distancing as different from physical distancing, the fear of masks everywhere they look and the health impacts of low oxygen. The mental health issues are the big issue that far outweighs a mild virus that will not kill the majority.  This last thought is a key one to really take on board.  The shutdown is treating a mild virus like it is deadly to everyone and the media seeks to prove anyone can get it.  The death rates are low yet they will rise under lockdown as people suffer deeply at the loss of freedom, sovereignty and democracy which is why the opposite is why we have mental health. When we have a sense of personal control and self determination over our lives we feel a sense of freedom.  I wonder if children in Melbourne were interviewed as part of a 7 UP series what future they would see for themselves?

How do we treat each other? What is respect? What is nurturing? What is positive healthy human development.  What is real leadership?

How do we treat the elderly as if they have no economic value?  They were children, they were born in the depression, they experienced WWII, many raised children and contributed in a range of ways and then in their twilight years we see them placed in institutions and left to die. With so-called COVID the homes are inundated by health personnel and the elderly cannot even tough their family member, that is the real death for them but those who only see a narrow world view, they can’t see the harm they are truly causing.

Our culture is not honouring our elders. the latest Royal Commmission is one in a serious of inquiries where abuse is clearly evident on every level of our society.  It has its roots in bullying (insecurity) and you can see clearly that the vulnerable are bullied one way or another.  In respect of the elders, we are not understanding the wisdom in that older person who can provide great insight that a younger person can’t see as the younger does not have the experience. This older person becomes the most important person in a grandchild’s life.  The elderly are of great value, they are history, the present and the future,  We have not understood the value of every human being.  I can see it as I have been privileged in having an ability to see great worth in every face.  I can honestly say I love every person and my life experience as a clown, market analyst (interviewing people), public media enabled me to deeply connect with my community. I was constantly amazed at how wise so many are and always felt privileged. That is how I know I am wealthy.

I contemplate smart cities, the complete transformation of our world and the collapsing of the global economy.  I ask can artificial intelligence, transhumanism, automation create this healthy happier future?  Or will it transform the human genome, the human fabric of society, human love in order to create a hive mentality that learns to conform and loses their sense of self determination and identity. This is the test we are going through right now as we witness the abuse of citizens, the loss of civil rights and intimidation and bullying to force them into change on the basis of edicts.

I am deeply contemplating what is happening to humanity.  There is no superior or inferior it is all about human development, human opportunity and the very important human love (spirituality) which is the real wealth of nations.

In my heart I know the global community will overcome the cruelty, narcissism, dictatorial governance that has no respect for another’s journey and seeks to impose its worldview or indeed a New World re-Order (more accurately).  However, they too are being tested in the greater scheme of things. They are being asked:  Who were you up to the age of 7?  What shaped your world view?  How were you treated?  What do you believe? What did you experience?  What did you learn?  Who will you become?  Are you happy?  The latter is the real wealth that no AI can replicate.

We are on a sacred journey home.
