This video below was inspired at 2am in the morning. It is a loss to Australians.
I thank Waleed Aly and the team from The Project for bringing Australian humour to television and expressing the Australian culture by speaking their truth and doing it with fun and humour.
In a column for The Age newspaper, Aly blamed the demise of The Project on the growing power of the tech giants which have decimated advertising revenue. Whilst they can coordinate to take out free to air, if channel 10 is really committed to the public expand their advertising to the public and focus on small to medium sized businesses.
It is likely his views on technology companies who have shown to-date their intolerance to freedom of speech and a willingness to take it down. They will come to learn that freedom of speech works for them when they have the courage to face critics who have a right to say yea or nay to the Brave New World shape changing our world without permission or consent. The latter appears their modus operandi as many billionnaires are created by investors with vested intersts in global control.
We are in dynamic times where people will vote with their feet.
This is Waleed’s article.

I met Waleed many years ago at La Trobe University when he was on a panel called ‘Our World in Crisis’. We came together to discuss global issues. We role played leader in on session, I played Democrats Leader Lyn Allison.

I was invited to read a poem at the last dinner of the Australian Democrats, giving a tribute to who they are and their motto ‘keep the bastards honest’. Don Chipp was the one who coined that term. I sense Waleed is the same.

I feel to mention Don Dunstan another famous politicians. We don’t see this calibre in Australian politics as it appears many are compromised. They have forgotten the true Australian spirit, which is a fair go.
Lastly, I feel moved to remember Harold Holt, a former Australian Prime Minister who drowned mysteriously, his body never found. Was he a Chinese spy or is this propaganda?

I contemplate foreign influences in Australia and how long they have influenced policy. Is this national a sovereign nation or is our culture being undermined. Many will be asking questions as they can see the middle class is finding life unaffordable as AI and automation comes into replace Australian workers.
